SPECIAL CASES
For slides that need to link to something other than a News Story. For instance, the Outreach Yearly Magazine and the Outreach We Know Georgia page.
Add Slide to a News Story with page name specified. Add a 301 Redirect in .htaccess:
Redirect 301 /outreach-magazine-redirect/ https://digitalarch.uga.edu/portals/zdvj22jk/2022OutreachMagazine
Example of recent We Know Georgia Home Page Slide to new page update:
1. Create a new blog post with a title. The title will show as the text on top of the banner.
2. Add the Home Page Banner Slide Image.
3. Adjust the URL of the post Permalink in the right column if necessary.
4. Copy the URL of the post (permalink) from above.
5. Create another 301 redirect in the .htaccess file within the theme on the server. There are other 301’s to use an an example in the .htaccess file.
6. Publish post and check the frontend.
