Why should I choose your development services over another?

Why do your websites cost more (or less) than others I’ve found?
Pricing for the development of a typical small business Shopify website ranges from $2,000 on the low end, to over $30,000 on the high end. The lower end variety are often available from a couple of different sources:
First are the freelancers who often have daytime jobs and very little overhead. What you gain in cost-savings you stand to lose in long-term support, as they may cease to stay in business. Second are the large discount website developers that may pay their sales staff more than their programmers. You deal with a knowledgeable person during the sales process, but often end up with mediocre to poor service during the building process. The cost to you might be “not getting what you really want”.
The upper end of pricing comes from design agencies who maintain nice offices and work with larger corporate clients. They often do branding work along with website, print, and video production. You’ll most often get great results but it might break your budget.
Our pricing falls between the low end and the high end. We don’t have the overhead of an agency, but we provide more Shopify customization and service offerings than discount web developers.
Although you can have a Shopify website built for less, we feel we’ve put together an offering of quality, service, and value that is well worth the price.
How long does it take to have a Shopify website built?
On average it takes from six to twelve weeks to build a Shopify website. If your Shopify theme simply needs to be redesigned, and the content is staying “as is”, the project can be completed in as little as two weeks from the start date.
Do you provide email accounts with service and support?
We don’t offer email accounts due to the time and expertise required to provide email service and support. Business email needs are better served by a service that specializes in email, such as Microsoft Outlook or G Suite from Google.
Will I be able to update the Shopify site myself when it’s finished?
Yes. Many of our clients take control of their Shopify website and learn to manage and update it on their own. We’ll provide initial training and help when you need it.
Do you only create Shopify websites?
No. We can work with almost any e-commerce system you have in mind. We use WordPress to build custom websites and QuickLaunch websites. If you need a simple HTML/CSS website without a content management system we can create it. In addition, we can partner with a team to create sophisticated web applications.
Will you maintain my website and make content updates as I need them?
Yes. We provide on-going support for almost all of our clients. Check out our Maintenance Plans.
Will my Shopify website be mobile-friendly?
Definitely! Having a mobile-friendly e-commerce store is more important than ever! We’ll make sure your website looks great on a variety of mobile devices including phones and tablets.
How and when do I pay?
The website development fee requires a deposit to start and the remainder when the website goes live. The agreement we create for you will specify the exact amounts.
We accept checks, all major credit cards, and debit cards.
How much input do I have in the website development process?
Your input and feedback is crucial to the success of your new Shopify website. Before we get started we’ll ask questions about your business and what expectations you have for the website. We’ll also find out what expectations you have regarding the look and feel of the online store. We’re here to serve you and the visitors to your website by creating the best experience possible.
Who writes the content for the products and store pages?
Someone within your organization or a copywriter you hire will write the content. If you currently have a website we can often work with the content you have, and suggest edits where necessary. If you need help, we can recommend copywriters who can improve your current content or write original content for you at an additional cost.
Do I have full ownership of the code you develop for my Shopify store?
Yes, you have full ownership of the code we create for your Shopify website. If custom plugins from other developers are used in the project you’ll be using the plugins under their licensing agreement with you. And of course you’ll be operating under your agreement with the Shopify platform.
